MILTON O. THOMPSON, PrincipalGrand Slam Companies, which include Grand Slam 3, has been providing management consultancy services across the nation since 1981. Milt is Grand Slam Companies’ president and chief executive officer and a principal of Grand Slam 3.
Well known for his work in community development, sports and recreation planning, and building community collaborations through effective partnerships, Milt is also an attorney and of counsel with the law firm of Bleeke Dillon Crandall. He is most recognized for sports and entertainment law but he also focuses in business law and consulting for entrepreneurs and non-profits, small business financing, and MBE and WBE certification. Milt is the co-founder of Play Ball Indiana, a former certified contract adviser with the National Football League and the NBA Players Association, and board member of the Indianapolis Indians Baseball Club. He has served as president and interim director of Big Brothers while merging with Big Sisters to create Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Indiana. He played a key role in negotiating the merger between the Legacy Fund and the Indianapolis Foundation to create the Central Indiana Community Foundation. As part of CICF, the Indianapolis Foundation remains a functioning entity and Milt serves as its chairman. In addition, Milt was general counsel to the Pan American Games. In 2004 he was honored with the Business & Philanthropy Award from the National Center for Black Philanthropy. He serves on the Indianapolis Capital Improvement Board, the Tourism Tomorrow Board of Visit Indy, the English Foundation and Crown Hill Board of Managers. |
